I thank god for Redemption House Ministry. I’m not sleeping on the streets anymore and I have a job again, thanks to their help. What a blessing they are, they really gave me a hand up, instead of a hand-out. I am so thankful.
I was just a few days out of jail with nowhere to go. I had been evicted from the place I was in before and my PO told me about the women’s shelter at the Church of Nazarene. I walked over there, HOPING and PRAYING, that I would be able to stay there. I told my story and what brought me to this point and they instantly took me in with Open and Loving arms. I am so very THANKFUL! I stayed for about 6 months. These kind, caring, and thoughful, loving people, helped me out so so much. They are dedicated to everything they do. Not only did they shelter and feed me, they gave me HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT to keep moving forward in life. They helped reunite me with my babies and get a home of our own.
So much went wrong in a short amount of time. I was living on the streets, hungry most of the time, and winter had started. I heard they had free lunch and I went in, got so much more. A warm bed and help, so much help. I would have frozen to death if it wasn’t for Redemption House. They saved my life.
I didn’t know what we were going to do, it was just me and my little boy and I’d lost my job when it closed because of COVID. What little savings I had, ran out and we were about to be spending our first night on the street. I was scared to death. A friend told me about Redemption House and they took us in and kept us warm and fed. They even helped me find another job. I am back in an apartment (that they found for us). God bless them for everything they did for us.
